ICEHD expanded its global engagement through the participation of its Project Director, Dr. Ndudi Bowei, at the Women Deliver Conference in Melbourne, Australia held from April 27th-30th, 20261. The conference brought together more than 6,500 participants from approximately 170 countries, creating a platform for dialogue, learning, and collaboration around gender equality, climate justice, health systems strengthening, and sustainable development.

As conversations unfolded around the Climate Justice & Gender side events highlighting how environmental challenges continue to shape the health, safety, and rights of women and girls globally.
These conversations go beyond dialogue, they demand action, accountability, and sustained advocacy, especially in communities where the impact is most severe.
In alignment with the mission of International Centre for Environmental Health and Development (ICEHD), this engagement reinforces a continued commitment to advancing health equity, protecting vulnerable populations, and driving intersectional solutions at the nexus of climate and gender.
Because the truth is if we don’t lead, decisions will still be made… just without us.
So this is a call to advocate for climate policies that are gender-responsive because climate justice is gender justice.
